Christina Lee Mathias, 93, of Church Road, VA, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026. Born in Wardensville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Winfred and Bessie Tharp; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Albert G. Mathias; her son, Larry A. Mathias; and several siblings all living in West Virginia. She was a dedicated member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Wilson Hebron Ford Ruritan Club. She had retired from Dinwiddie County Public Schools after many years of dedicated service as a Bus Driver and Office Assistant. Mrs. Mathias was the owner and operator of Christina's Cake for many years, having made and decorated numerous cakes and cupcakes. She is survived by her three children, Debra Mathias Mahoney (Patrick), Randall Garrett Mathias (Lynn), and Mitchell Lee Mathias (Beverly); daughter-in-law, Charlene Mathias; grandchildren, Chris Mathias (Sandra), Brandy Harter (Brad), Heather Sutton (Mike), Rhianna Mathias-Watkins (Nick), Megan Mathias (Dustin), and Courtney Mathias; many great and great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, Shelby Hulver, Winfred "Yip" Tharp, James Tharp, and Linda Benware; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Pennie Foy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in memory of Christina Lee Mathias.
