Some People Feel The Rain, Others Just Get Wet (Bob Marley)
Christian Blade Scott, 21, of Virginia Beach, passed away on April 16, 2023.
Christian was born and raised in Chesterfield, VA, until moving to Virginia Beach in 2017. Christian was never one to dip his toes in, he would always jump right into whatever caught his interest. Christian knew no fear and that's how he lived his life. He was the type of person that no matter what sport or activity he tried, he was always amazing at it. Christian played Rec ball for CCLL and then later played travel ball for the Chesterfield Royals and Virginia Chaos. Through these years of ball he developed not only teammates, but the best friends a boy could have. He loved baseball and played several positions but his favorite was shortstop, and man, he was a beast. He had dreams of one day playing for the New York Yankees and would want extra practice to keep improving his skills. His speed was also a gift that he had and often times would race his teammates and bet money to see who was faster. Nine times out of ten he won. Christian also loved skateboarding and spent hours at the skate park perfecting his kick flips among other tricks. He also loved the beach and would spend summer vacations in the Outer Banks surfboarding and skim boarding. He would skim board until the sun went down. Christian was also big into music and spent some time in the studio recording rap songs. Word on the street says it started in Cooperstown where he had played in a tournament at the Cooperstown Dream Park, with teams from all over the world. Christian had a larger than life personality and loved to make people laugh. Christian had the biggest heart and was kind to everyone he met and would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar in his pocket. Christian loved his family and his friends deeply especially his mom. He brought her flowers often and tried to make every holiday special. Christian had the biggest smile that could light up any room and could always brighten anyone's day.. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Christian is survived by his parents, Karon and Alan Jones, and Ronald Scott; siblings, Brittany Fowler (Ashley Fowler), Jesse Jones, Colton Scott, Anne-Myria Humphries, Blaze Mecleary (Britny Pooley), Tiffany Mecleary; grandparents, Kathy and Randy Jackson, and the late, Dorothy Bresnyan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Following the service, a celebration of Christian's life will take place at: 3107 Talleywood Lane, Chester, VA.
