Charlotte Suzanne Thore

Charlotte Suzanne Thore, 62, of Prince George County, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, after a courageous six month battle with cancer. Born in Waverly, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie Conway Cole and was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joseph P. Thore. Suzanne attended Waverly High School and Smith-Dale Massey Business School in Richmond, Va. She was a long time active member of Salem Methodist Church in Burrowsville, Virginia, where she served as Treasurer and had many close friends. She was happiest traveling with her many friends and going to Outer Banks, N.C. Suzanne had a love of cats, enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks, love being a mother and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Wayne T. Thore; son, Colin J. Thore; mother-in-law, Hilda Thore; brother-in-law, Terry Thore and his wife, Linda and their daughter, Lindsey; first cousins, Johnny and Vera Cole, Bernie Martin; her church family and other extended family, and friends. The family would like to thank all of her friends for all their prayers, visits, cards, and love they gave during her illness. The family also would like to thank the doctors, administration and nurses at MCV Cancer Center at Stoney Point. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Salem United Methodist Church, 19801 James River Drive, Spring Grove, Va. 23881, with Pastor Gibby Elder, officiating.
