Charlie Lenar Lambert

Charles Lenar Lambert 68, of Hopewell passed away on Wednesday July 8, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Atha Creel Lambert; and granddaughter, Morgan Griffin. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Charlie worked for ELCO Concrete Company Inc. for 35 years, and was a member of Wesley United Methodist church, and a member of the Hopewell Jaycees. He enjoyed gardening, wood crafting taking mini vacations with his grandchildren, and was an avid Nascar fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Lambert; daughters, Denise Price and her husband, Chris, Stephanie Griffin and her husband, Neal; grandchildren, Nicholas Price, Spencer Griffin, Emiley Griffin; Sister Sue Hundley and her husband, Charlie; brother Walter Vassar and his wife, Linda; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Friday July 10, 2015 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morris & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday July 11, 2015 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
