Charles Daniel Walker

Charles Daniel Walker, 76, of Bracey, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his daughter, LaVonda J. Landon; parents, Paul Walker and Annie Swilley; brothers, Earnest Walker, Osborne Walker, and Melvin Walker; and sisters, Ernestine Deweese, Eloise Townes, and Elaine Knight.

Charles spent his career working for several car dealerships in the local area and he was also employed by Philip Morris working in private security. He was a member of River Ridge Chapel in Bracey, Virginia. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding on his pontoon boat and fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed taking his boat to the nearest marina to get ice cream. Charles loved his fur baby Mojo. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sandra Walker; son, William Neddo (Kim); daughter, Sharon Loper (Greg); grandchildren, Jonathan Neddo (Maria), Dustin Jones (Ellen), Caitlin Neddo (Nick), Jonathan Landon (Breanna), Amber King (Matt), Allison Landon (Michael), Austin Loper (Cheyenne), Jacob Doyle, James Doyle, and Kaitlyn Parham; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Valencia, Ryder, Kaleigh, Natalee, Abby, Indi Rae, John Dillon, and Owen; great-great-grandchild, Novaleigh, and a great-great-grandchild on the way in December; brother, Jerry Walker (Murlene); special friends, Alan Batchelor and Ralph Leisure; and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral will be held in the chapel on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at Virginia Veterans Cemetery on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
