Charles V. Walker

Charles V. Walker, 76 of Chester, VA, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026. Charles was born to the late Raymond Howard Walker, Sr., and Sidney Snyder Walker in Huntington, PA, in 1950. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry St. Clair Walker and Margaret Bitzer Walker; siblings, Sidney Mae, Sue Ann Ramsey, John Patrick Walker and Raymond H. Walker, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Martha A. Watson Walker; children, Anthony Wayne Walker, William Dudley Walker (Mecheyl), and Kimberly Michelle Radcliff (Scott); siblings, Mary and Ronald (Gail); grandchildren, Ashley, Ariel, Roxanne, Hailey, and Dale; and brothers-in-law, Wayne "Doc" Watson (Chris) and Doug Watson. 

Charles was a man of many talents, but music was his true passion. He played guitar every Monday night with his friends, oftentimes with his wife Martha singing alongside him or cooking for the hungry musicians. He also loved to play music with his family, raising his own family band with guitar, drums, and vocals resonating throughout the home. When he wasn't playing country music with friends and family, he could be found enjoying the outdoors with his camper in Gloucester or cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Charles was a musician, woodworker, artist, and family man. He leaves behind many loving memories with the family he cherished, and they will always remember his warm heart, guitar strumming, and endless jokes. 

A funeral service for Charles will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Dale Memorial Park.
