Charles Shephard, Jr.

Charles Shephard, Jr., walked into heaven with Jesus on May 1, 2026. He was born in Whitetop, VA, on October 19, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Shephard, Sr. and Lura Isabella (Shepherd) Shephard; and by his sister, Patricia Ann Baldwin, of Lansna, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharon Daniels Shephard, of Enon; his children, Jennifer Shephard Crawford (David), of VA Beach, Charles Michael Shephard (Brandy), of Enon, Derrek Daniels, of Richmond, and Jerred Daniels, of Enon; grandchildren, Trey Crawford (Kristen), Jeffrey Crawford, Joshua Crawford (Dannielle), of VA Beach, Zachary Shephard (Hannah), of Hopewell, Noah Shephard (Chloe), of Matoaca, Gavin Shephard, Cooper Shephard and Hayzel Lampkin, of Enon, Austin Daniels, of Enon, Alexis Daniels (Trey), of Waverly, Nylah Daniels, of Lynchburg, and Samantha and Mason Daniels, of Enon; great-grandchildren, Aubree Crawford, of VA Beach, Riley Mise and Kaiden Sublim, of Waverly, Wrenn Shephard, of Hopewell, Truett Shephard, of Matoaca, Cooper Gordon, of VA Beach, and Caralynn Crawford, of VA Beach.

He was the greatest husband, dad, & Popaw in the world. He loved his family deeply and he loved "fixing things." He worked for Macke Vending, Aramark, and retired from Pepsi Petersburg. He attended Enon Baptist Church for many years and was active there. Donations may be made to the Heart Association or to Enon Baptist Church building fund.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Enon Baptist Church with burial to follow at Bermuda Memorial Park. A visitation will be held the night before, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
