Catherine Alice Townsley

Catherine Alice Townsley, 56, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Andrew John Townsley; mother, Mary Forrest; brother, Ted Forrest; and grandson, Zachariah Townsley.
Catherine was a member of Cornerstone Faith Assembly and attended services faithfully. She impacted so many lives as a living testimony.

Catherine is survived by her son, Andrew John; daughters, Catherine Alice, and Sarah Ann; grandchildren, Ava, Mia, Andrew, Isaiah, Richard, and Isabelle; her father, Edward; and siblings, Sandra and Eleanore. She was a loving mother, trusting sister, and faithful friend. Catherine will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with a funeral service will beginning at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A funeral service will also be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Chester Chapel. Interment will be private.
