Carolyn Horne Field

Carolyn Horne Field, age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 22, 2026. Born into a life grounded in faith, family, and perseverance, Carolyn lived her years with grace, strength, and a deep love for those around her.

A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Carolyn's life was a testimony to God's enduring love. She believed firmly in Christ and found comfort and purpose in her faith, which guided her through every season of life. Her gentle spirit, steady wisdom, and caring heart touched all who knew her.

Carolyn is lovingly survived by her daughter, Laura Gregory (JD); her sisters, Kathryn Shaffer (Tommy) and Debra Hoff (Brian); and her brother, Bobby Horne (Patsy). She is also survived by her stepchildren; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory always.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randall L. Field, Sr.; and her brothers, John Horne and Meredith Horne.

Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family devotion. While she will be deeply missed, her loved ones find peace in knowing she is now rejoicing in eternal life, reunited with those who went before her, and resting in the presence of the Lord.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
