Carlita "Sam" Howell

Carlita "Sam" Howell, 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was born to the late Alva Sr. and Mary Crittenden in Little Creek, VA. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Alva "Bud" Crittenden, Jr. and Carol "Ray" Crittenden; her granddaughter, Christy Allen; and her great-grandson Kaleb. In her free time, she loved to fish, play bingo, watch racing, love on her cats, and listen to the King. She was a devoted member of the Colonial Heights Moose for many years. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cora C. Nelson (Jimmy) and Wayne S. Boswell (Elaine); her brother, Bill Crittenden; her five grandchildren, Angel, Blake, Trey, Sydney, and Skyler; and her sixteen beloved great-grandchildren; her nieces, Nikki Crittenden and Sindy Baker; her nephew, Matthew Crittendon; and many more loved family and friends.
