Carl Waverly Wells

Carl Waverly Wells, 84, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Born in Dinwiddie, VA, he was the son of the late Alvin Waverly and Lula Poole Wells; and was also preceded in death by his niece, Tanya Wells. Mr. Wells faithfully served his country in the United States Army Reserves, and was the owner and operator of Carl W. Wells Accounting in Petersburg, VA, for over 50 years. Carl was a devoted Christian and was a long time member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Faith Builders Sunday School Class. Mr. Wells is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Wells; one son, Christopher Todd Wells and wife, Kim; one granddaughter, Lauren Harrison and husband, Zach; and one brother, Neil Wells and wife, Shirley. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, November 7, 2025, at The Heights Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Osborne, officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
