Byron Wheeler Robinette

Byron Wheeler Robinette, 89, of Prince George, passed away Friday, June 07, 2013. Born in Bland County, VA, he was one of eight children born to the late Henry Clayton and Bertie Mae Clark Robinette. Mr. Robinette retired as construction superintendent after 40 years of employment with J. Kennon Perrin Construction Company. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Dinwiddie and was associated with Foundations Bible College in Dunn, NC. In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by two children, Charles Irvin Robinette and Jeanette Ilene “Jeannie” Robinette. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Lamm Robinette; children, Byron Wayne Robinette and wife, Marily of Placentia, CA, Linda Gail Robinette of Alexandria, VA, and Dwight Kelly Robinette and wife, Lisa of Chester, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 10th at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Raleigh Nunnally officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
