Bruce Robert Malcolmson

Bruce Robert Malcolmson, 81, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Born in Harrisonburg, VA, and raised in Danville, PA, he was the son of the late Robert "Bob" Stuart Malcolmson and Virginia R. Malcolmson; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger K. Malcolmson. Bruce was a graduate of Danville High School and had received his Bachelors degree from the University of Delaware where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. He had retired after many years of dedicated service as an Electrical Engineer. He enjoyed Tai Chi, cooking, and traveling and will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Malcolmson is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Anne Cashell Malcolmson; three children, David B. Malcolmson, Judith M. Jones (Paul), and Deborah L. Getch (Bill); and three grandchildren, Douglas J. Jones, Ashley L. Jones, and Geordan Rechenberg. All services will be private. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in memory of Bruce Malcolmson.
