Brooks R. Wallace, Sr.

Brooks R. Wallace, Sr., 58, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on August 18, 2025. A lover of the outdoors and rock 'n' roll music, he is survived by his son, Brooks R. Wallace, Jr. and wife, Heather Porter Wallace; his sister, Linda Shiflett; and his brother, Charles Atwood. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Thelma Wallace; and his sister, Sheila Pardew.

Brooks attended college and trade school and worked for 32 years as a machinist at Brenco. He also worked maintenance at Sussex State Prison. A skilled woodworker and handyman, Brooks enjoyed working with his hands and spending time caring for his garden. He was a fan of wrestling and loved to watch crime shows on TV. Brooks will be forever remembered as a devoted father and a man who was always willing to help others.

A funeral service for Brooks will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the chapel the night prior, August 29, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
