Brian Wrexford Stowers

Brian Wrexford Stowers, 65, of Prince George, VA, formerly of Sylvester, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. He was the son of the late Woodrow Stowers and Eula McCallister Stowers. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Stowers. He was a graduate of Sherman High Class of ’65. Brian served his country proudly in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Hercules after 36 years of service. Mr. Stowers enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, June Stowers; daughter, Missy Mauger and her husband, Mike; son, Scott Stowers and his wife, Allison; grandchildren, Taylor Payne, Brooke Payne, Madison Stowers and Kayla Payne; sister, Elouise Driggers and her husband, Raymond; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. His family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Saturday, September 7, 2013 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
