Bonnie May Majetic

Bonnie May Majetic, 76, passed away on November 2, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of Thelma May Smart and the late Hoyt Glen Smart. Bonnie was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother, whose memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Bonnie was a longtime resident of Chester, Virginia, and for over 45 years, she was a dedicated member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Her unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and solace.

She dedicated over 25 years of her life to her career as a Budget Analyst at the Defense Supply Center of Richmond, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and dedication. Her commitment to her work was an inspiration to her colleagues and a source of pride for her family.

Bonnie enjoyed cooking, sewing, and pottery. Yet, more than anything, Bonnie's heart was with her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be passed down through generations.

Bonnie was married to the late Richard Eugene Majetic for 37 years, a partnership built on love and devotion. She is survived by sons, Eugene Richard Majetic (Amy), of Midlothian, Brian Keith Majetic, of Roanoke, Virginia; and grandchildren, Taylor Eugene Majetic (Ashlyn), Caroline Grace Majetic, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Tucker Bryson Majetic, of Prince George, Virginia.

She is also survived by her sister, Glenda Sue Riley (Jerry); and her brothers, Joseph Glen Smart (Diana) and David Lynn Smart (Sherri); along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Bonnie was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Smart.

A funeral service to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morris & Son Funeral Home, located at 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, located at 17111 Route 1, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23834.
