Blanche Vargo

Blanche Glovier Vargo, 96, of Prince George, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2012. She was born on January 28, 1916, the daughter of John and Nannie Mayes Glovier in Wise County, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Willie G. Vargo; brothers, Stewart, Noah, and Griffith Glovier; and sisters, Lola Glovier, Francis Glovier, Rosa Johnson, and Allie Maxfield. She is survived by her sons, Bobby M. Vargo (Dana), Willie G. Vargo II (Johanna); brother, Nelson Glovier (Wanda), sister, Audrey Glovier; step-grandson, Bobby Brown (Shelia); and step-granddaughter, Patti Westmoreland (Dan). A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church, 401 N. Second Avenue, Hopewell, at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
