Billy Lee Crutchfield, Jr.

Billy Lee Crutchfield, Jr., of Prince George, VA, died October 12, 2025. Raised in South Hill, VA, he was the son of late Lou Ella and Billy Crutchfield, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Price Crutchfield; daughter, Mary Beth Crutchfield, of Richmond, VA; son, Mark Crutchfield, of Prince George, VA; daughter-in-law, Allison Crutchfield; and granddaughters, Katie, Lacie, and Ashleigh.

He was a Vietnam Veteran, and retired as a Master Trooper with the Virginia State Police after 38 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sporting clays. He was an active member of several hunt clubs, the National Sporting Clays Association, and the Virginia State Police Association. During the past 20 years of his retirement, he enjoyed working with his son in agriculture.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, on Friday, October 17, 2025, with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with family friend Jared Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation or the VCU Massey Cancer Center.
