Beulah “Bea” S. Harrison, 93, of Hopewell passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Born in Dinwiddie County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Spain and Lurlene Clarke Spain and was preceded in death by her husbands, John Spatig and Pretlow Harrison. Bea was a former Patrick Copeland School teacher, a member of First Christian Church and beloved by her family, friends and church community. She is survived by her daughter Linda Spatig and her son, John Mark Spatig; stepdaughter, Betsy Ameen; stepson, Chick Harrison; brothers, Sidney J. Spain, Thomas C. Spain; sister, Rosalie S. Sheffield; grandchildren, Shelley S. Sundy, Ary S. Amerikaner, J. Adam Spatig, Layne S. Amerikaner; nieces and nephews, Toy S. Walker, Tracy S. Runion, Debbie S. Dunn, Cindy S. Norville, Clarke Spain, Kay S. Sailsbury, Mary Kay Madison, Stephen Spain, Roger Spain and Carolyn S. Johns. A memorial Singsperation and Reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at First Christian Church, 203 N. 11th Avenue, Hopewell Va. 23860. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, or World Vision, P. O. Box 9716 Federal Way, WA 98063. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T.
