Belva Jane Madore, 87, of Hillsville and Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025.
She was daughter of the late Benjamin Sr. and Helen Turner. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Roy Turner; sister, Linda Lee (John R.); and her adored dog, Tigger.
Belva was passionate about spending time with her family, classic country music, reading, NASCAR, and the Virginia Tech Hokies. She also enjoyed traveling the mountains and the beach. Throughout her life she lived in Georgia, Alaska, and North Carolina with the United States Air Force, but called Virginia home. Belva lived a full life, and was an excellent bank teller, and spirited community member.
She is survived by her four daughters, Catherine Schultz (Duane), Cynthia Casella (Ray), Teresa Williams (Farhad Ameen), and Kimberly Yerovsek (Kevin); nine grandchildren, Sean (Kari), Jamie (Matt), Dylan (Laura), Melanie (Ethan), Caleb, Angelina, Lily, Riley, and Mira; four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Sophia, Grace, Patton, and one more blessing on the way; four siblings, Brenda Avery (R.T.), Barbara Kline (John), Benjamin Turner, Jr. (Becky), and Joseph Turner (Patricia). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved and loved her dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 12:00pm, at Dale Memorial Park.
