Barry Nelford Jernigan , 74, of Dinwiddie County, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021.
He was born January 10, 1947 in Ahoskie, NC to the late Gladston and Leslie Jernigan.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Jernigan and his grandson, Seth Jernigan.
He is survived by his former wife and longtime companion, Linda Jernigan; grandson, Christopher Jernigan; brothers, Kip (Kandi) Jernigan and Keet (Tracie) Jernigan.
Barry retired from Brenco and Park 500 after 35 years of service. He served with the United States Army in Vietnam.
Barry was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend to many. He was a great provider for his family. He loved his Pepsi’s and video games and he loved fishing. He had a big heart and would do anything to help anybody. He will be missed by all.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Southlawn Memorial Park.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by The Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
