Barbara VonDeck Tucci

Barbara VonDeck Tucci, 94, of Durham, NC and formerly of Tucson, Arizona and Alexandria, VA passed away on June 5, 2026 at the Petersburg Home for Ladies. Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Hazel and Edward VonDeck and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank J. Tucci.

Barbara spent her life caring for others as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career she worked as the Director of Nursing for Circle Terrace Hospital in Alexandria, VA, and also served as the Director of Nursing and Administrator for El Dorado Medical Center in Tucson, AZ.

Mrs. Tucci is survived by her three children, Debara L. Tucci and husband, Kevan E. VanLandingham, Stephen F. Tucci and wife, Kristine and Michael E. Tucci and wife, Amy S.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lynn Boda and husband, Herman.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 13 at Pohick Church Cemetery, 9301 Richmond Hwy., Lorton, VA 22079. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Petersburg Home for Ladies, in memory of Barbara V. Tucci.
