Barbara Ann Binkley Taylor, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 8, 2026. She was born July 15, 1940, in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Emanuel Binkley and the late Bea Haley Williams.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Burnell Taylor, who she met at a dance at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He swept her off her feet so fast, they were married in just two months. He brought her back to Dinwiddie, Virginia, where they resided for sixty-eight years.
Barbara is also survived by her sons, Ronnie Taylor and Ken Taylor, of Dinwiddie, Virginia; her daughter, Rhonda Tucker Breeding (James), of Prince George, Virginia; her sisters, Patricia Schillag, of Michigan and Linda Williams (Wendell), of Tennessee; her brother, James Binkley (Joyce), of Texas; sister-in-law, Cathy Binkley, of North Carolina; aunts, Billie Jean Combs and Eleanor Migliaccio (Pat), of Tennessee, grandchildren; Rusty Taylor (Shannon), of Dinwiddie, Virginia, Jeremy Taylor of Dinwiddie, Virginia, Aaron Taylor (Megan), of Dinwiddie, Virginia, Logan Tucker (Stephanie), of Prince George, Virginia, Andrea Peavyhouse (Michael), of Dinwiddie, Virginia, and Allison Peavyhouse (Phillip), of Olympia, Washington; great-grandchildren, Brian Jr. Taylor, Zachery Taylor (Tiara), Jeremy Jr. Taylor, Aaron Jr. Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Mia Taylor, Aubrey Tucker, Amelia Tucker, Daisy Scalera, Adelyn Peavyhouse, Loki Olson, Sirus Olson, and Anorah Peavyhouse; great-great grandchild, Braelyn Taylor; and special friends, Irene Chapel and Rose Ellen Smith.
Barbara wore many hats, she was a farmer's wife, bus driver, and mail carrier to name a few. She is most known for running Taylor's Farmer's Market, and her famous highly requested carrot cake. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She set the example and taught her children the meaning of charity.
A graveside service for Barbara will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, 16414 McKenney Highway, DeWitt, Virginia 23840. Pastor Gardner, of In His Footsteps Christian Center, will be officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any Hospice organization of your choice. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
