Barbara Jones Burgess

Barbara Jones Burgess, 87, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord at her home on December 25, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Allie Burgess; her parents, James and Annie Jones; and her brother, James Ronald Jones.

Barbara was a faithful and devoted member of Faith Baptist Church for over 60 years. She is survived by her daughter, Gail McDole (David) of Dinwiddie, VA; her grandson, Clayton Gregory Hartman of Prince George, VA; her brother, Wilber Rudolph Jones (Judy) of Kernersville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her longtime caregiver, Debra Edwards, and Gentiva Hospice for their care and attention at the end of her life.

A funeral service will be held on January 2, 2026, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends an hour prior. The interment will follow at 1:00 PM, at Southlawn Memorial Park.
