Archie Washington Martin Jr.

Archie Washington Martin Jr., 75, of Hopewell passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie W. Sr. and Ruth Jones Martin; aunts, Ursula Gibbs, and Ruby Jones. He served his country proudly in the National Guard for 6 years and was a graduate of Bob Jones University. Archie served with the Maranatha Baptist Mission Inc. for over 45 years serving most of that time in Scotland. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends from all around the world. He is survived by his sisters, Lynda Livesay, Kay Ballowe; nephews, Douglas M. Livesay, Darrell T. Livesay; Great-nephew, Adam B. Livesay and his wife, Megan; great-niece, Cynthia M. Livesay and husband, Jonathan; aunts, Florence Hosack, and Grace Stewart; several other nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church 5501 Middle Road Prince George, VA, 23875, with a visitation to begin at 1pm on Tuesday December 30, 2014.
