Annette Walker Marshall

Annette Walker Marshall, 84, of Chester, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 15, 2025. Annette was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many who knew her. She loved the Lord and her family, and surely fulfilled His plan for her life as a good and faithful servant. Annette was very kind-hearted, fun, generous, and loving to all who knew her. She was passionate in her love for God's creation and generously supported many wildlife and nature related charities. Annette was also very passionate and devoted to her career, as a Management Analyst, at Fort Lee, VA, with over 30 years of civil service. She was loved by many throughout her career, and developed a close circle of friends with whom she worked and maintained connection with for many years following her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Battle B. "Buddy" and Gaenelle Fittz; her brother, George E. Fittz; her first husband, Walter J. "Sonny" Walker, Jr.; her daughter, Catherine G. "Cathy" Walker; and many other relatives with whom she will be reunited with at the gates of heaven. She is survived by her husband, James B. "Jim" Marshall; her daughter, Cynthia A. "Cindy" Renfroe and husband, John; step-sons, James "Jim" B. Marshall, Jr., D. Jason Marshall, Kevin C. Marshall, William "Will" K. Marshall, and their families; to include seven grandchildren; and her many dear friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the funeral home.
