Anna Hummer

Anna Marie Hummer, 85, of Henrico, VA and formally of Petersburg and Colonial Heights, VA went to heaven on Friday August 10, 2012. Anna is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, JAG Colonel Robert T. Hummer. She is survived by her loving daughter, Mary-Therese Soden. Anna is also survived by and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Hustin Jeffery, Brandon Robert, and Mary-Kathryn Brook. Anna was born in Chicago, IL in 1925. She met and married the love of her life and became a devoted military wife. Anna was an enthusiastic volunteer for many causes throughout the tri-cities. Her generosity to countless charities was immeasurable. The family will receive friends for visitation at 10 a.m. Tuesday August 14, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Petersburg, VA with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
