Ann Moots Green

Ann Moots Green, 98, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Phillip D. Green, Jr.; as well as her father, James R. Moots; mother, Caroline Lilliston; stepfather, Harold Lilliston; brother, James Moots; Doris and Edward Riley; and Carolyn Beever.

Ann worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for several businesses over the years, notably Greensway Construction and Nursery, as well as the Richmond Metro Chamber of Commerce. She was a devoted member of Merchants Hope Church, where she dedicated a great deal of her free time. She loved working in her flower garden and also enjoyed bird watching.

Ann is survived by her special daughter, Sandra S. Hughes; beloved grandchildren, March Altman (Stephanie) and Natalie Sharp (Chris); cherished cousin, Caroline Merryman Bonner (Daniel); and numerous extended family members whom she loved dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Ann's honor to the Merchants Hope Church Foundation.
