Angelo Ector Arpaia, “Mr. Cavelli” 91, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013. He was the proud owner of Cavelli’s for 41 years as a leather craftsman and cobbler. Mr. Arpaia loved the outdoors and especially hunting, fishing and boating. He enjoyed gardening, and could build anything with his hands. Mr. Arpaia was a Navy veteran of World War II where he served his country proudly. He was a former member of the Hopewell Church of Nazarene where he served in many different roles. He was a Bible Chairman for the Hopewell/Prince George Gideon Camp. He has been attending Enon Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Arpaia loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam’l and Minnie McGuire Arpaia; 3 brothers; 3 sisters, and nephew, David Perry. He is survived by his wife, Frances Bear Arpaia; sons, Angelo C. Arpaia (Linda), Don Arpaia (Cathy); daughters, Dorothy Wilson (Leonard), Denise Ingram (Chip), Eva Burris (Larry), Elta Bryant (Carl); grandchildren, Estella Cross (Jimmy), Louis Garza (Denise), Tony Garza (Rebecca), John Garza (Jane), Angela Walsh (Eddy), Jennifer Atkins (Carnel), James Rogers, Lindsey Key (Justin), April Ford (James), Andrea Bryant, Hunter Arpaia and Trevor Arpaia; 18 great-grandchildren children; 10 great-great grandchildren; sister, Elta Perry (Emmitt); nephew, Michael Perry and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Hopewell Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N. Enon Church Road, Chester, Va. 23831.
