Alice Brenda Rideout Aberle

Alice Brenda Rideout Aberle, age 74, was born on October 30, 1951, to Amos, Sr., and Hazel Rideout. She peacefully passed on from this life on January 12, 2026.

Brenda is survived by her faithful fiancé, Patrik Crockett; three loving children, Ray McFalls and wife Tommie, Jay McFalls and wife Kimberly, and Rebecca Crites and husband Kelly. Brenda is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren, Brittany Hunt, Corey Branzelle, Brenna Deskins, Jayson McFalls, Corra Crites, and Autumn (Sweet Tea) Crites, as well as her dear siblings, Amos Rideout, Jr., Sylvia Cravath, and Betty Chappell.

Brenda was raised in the close-knit Old Hickory community, and was a 1970 graduate of Dinwiddie High School. She was a devoted and nurturing Mother, and ardently served as a Social Worker, retiring with 33 years of dedicated service to the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2018. Brenda enjoyed her retired life, traveling around the United States, going on Caribbean cruises and was a skilled and enthusiastic bowler, competing with her league friends at The Bowling Alley.

Brenda's funeral services will be held at Concord United Methodist Church on January 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. Graveside burial services will be private and held for immediate family. There will be a reception with Brenda's family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the private graveside service.
