Agnes Carr Wilkinson

Agnes Carr Wilkinson, 91, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Mrs. Wilkinson was a lifelong member of Chester Baptist Church, where she served on many committees. She was born in Chesterfield to the late Waverly Johnson and Nina Blunt Carr. Mrs. Wilkinson is preceded in death by one brother and eight sisters. She is survived by her husband, Franklin Edward Wilkinson; two daughters, Elizabeth Wilkinson, and Beverly Chalkley; grandchildren, Wendy Handal and her husband, Ralph, and Heather LaJoie and her husband, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Hannah LaJoie, Zachary LaJoie, Kai Handal, and Myles Handal; sisters, Edith Harlow, and Frances Williamson and her husband, Bobby; brother, Waverly “Sonny” Carr and his wife, Jackie; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with a visitation to be held one hour prior. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chester Baptist Church, 4317 School St., Chester, VA 23831.
