Adalee Hartbarger Mundy went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Mundy; her daughter-in-law, Judy Hartbarger; and her granddaughter, Denise Hartbarger.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Hartbarger and his wife, Kim Hartbarger; her granddaughter, Robin Germanos and her husband, Mike Germanos; her grandson, Doug Hartbarger and his wife, Kendyl Hartbarger; her great-grandchildren, Michael Germanos, Konner Hartbarger, David Wilson, Lisa Wilson, and Jake Germanos; her sister, Jerry Sartain; her brother, Bobby Higgins; and many other loving family members and friends.
Adalee was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born in Lexington, Virginia on September 27, 1930, and was one of twelve children, growing up with eleven brothers and sisters. She was married to her husband Marvin for 63 years before his passing in 2021.
Adalee worked at Honeywell for thirty years before retiring. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially working in her yard and tending to her garden. She made the best cakes for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, and the joy she found in simple moments.
Adalee's love for her family and her quiet strength will never be forgotten. Her 95 years of life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Powers Memorial Baptist Church, 2807 Jackson Street, Hopewell, VA 23860, with a visitation for friends and family one-hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the local animal shelter. The shelter would love to have items such as bleach, dish washing liquid, Lavender Fabuloso, and dry dog and cat food.
