William Mcilwaine Young, Jr.

William McIlwaine Young, Jr, 90, of Chesterfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Young; older sister, Gene Y. Peterson, and his parents, William McIlwaine Young, Sr. and Selma Bland Jolly. He is survived by his sons, David A. Young (Lucille), Mark E. Young (Denise) and Paul E. Young; daughter, Lynn Y. Moore (Tom); 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
William is a retired U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, A.H. Robins retiree, award winning woodcarver, dedicated swimmer and positive inspiration to family and friends. He was an active member of Woods United Methodist Church, a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and friend.
A private service will be scheduled at a later date. The family is being served by J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home of, Chester Chapel.
