Robert Linn Rightmyer

November 23, 1943 - April 19, 2022

Robert Linn Rightmyer, 78, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Rightmyer and Betty Sivell Rightmyer; and his loving wife of over 42 years, Christine A. Rightmyer. He is survived by his daughter, Tracey Duncan; grandchildren, Ashley Parrish, Brandon Duncan, and Hunter Duncan; great-grandson, Robert Parrish, Jr.; and his brother, Joe Rightmyer and wife, Cheri. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran serving with distinction during the Vietnam War. He retired from active duty after more than 30 years as a Lt. Colonel. He was an active member of Spirit Life Worship Center in Prince George. Robert was a member of multiple civic and community groups including Chesterfield Lion's Club, Fort Lee Theater Company, American Legion Post 2 in Petersburg, the 40/8 Club, and the Richmond Stamp Club. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
