Michael Dennis Harney

March 17, 1955 - February 24, 2022

Michael Dennis Harney, 66, of Chesterfield, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Born in Arlington and raised in McLean, he was the son of the late Jack Harney and Lucille Williams Harney. He is survived by his spouse, Katharine Harney; children, Lauren Harney (Mike), Sean Harney (Kristina), and Megan Harney; grandchildren, Connor, Ainsleigh, Brenden and Kaytee; siblings, Dave, Don, Dan, Cathy, Mary, and Jim. Michael was employed as an applications developer at Bank of America for 35 years. He enjoyed watching horror films, playing with his grandchildren, flying airplanes, riding his motorcycle, and building models. Michael will always be remembered as someone who devoted himself to everyone and everything.
