    Joyce Renee Gould

    October 10, 1951 - May 4, 2022

    Joyce "Renee" Gould, 70, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Born and raised in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Jack R. and Virginia L. Gadsby. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Marie Gould; and sister, Brenda Zucchi. Renee is survived by her husband of 47 years, Phillip Gould; sister, Jackie Gentry and her husband, Scott; brothers, Rob Gadsby and Greg Gadsby; sister-in-law, Lorraine Johnson; brother-in-law, Robert Zucchi; niece, Chris Tomlinson and her husband, Bud, and their children, Shane and Brooklyn; niece, Traci Solomen and her husband, Eric, and their children, Sabrina, Erica, Christina, and Lucas. As a passionate dog lover, Renee also considered her 3 pet dogs, Rowdy, Sam, and Molly to be members of her family. Renee devoted her entire career to the medical field: 26 years with Dr. Drewry and 26 years with Dr. Amabel Sibal. She was an avid supporter of her husband's fishing ventures, and she served as an official for the Pro Am Teams Organization in the 90s with fond memories of all local bass fisherman. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Virginia Cancer Institute.
