Jeffrey Ray Lockhart, Jr., 29, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. He had a great passion for bass music and was part of Team Deadly Hertz, where he served as President locally and Vice-President nationally. Jeffrey was a member of Sons of the American Legion and loved hanging out and spending time with family and friends. He was employed by Amazon as a line worker. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his sister, Bryony May Lockhart. Mr. Lockhart is survived by his wife, Di-Key Lockhart; sons, Kelton Blakes, Jervontay Richardson, Jeffrey Lockhart, III; parents, Jeffrey R. Lockhart, Sr. and Marguerite Rothgeb Lockhart; sister, Laura Lockhart; cousin, Sara Rothgeb; brother-in-law, Kenneth Allen; sister-in-law, Crystal Richardson; best friend, Jonathan Evans; mother-in-law, Rita Allen; grandmothers, Florence Williams, Shirley Holmes, Ida Allen and numerous aunts, uncles and other family and friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Hopewell Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013, also at the funeral home.
