    Mr Glenn Marshall Ford, Jr.

    April 18, 1937 - February 16, 2022

    Glenn "Pookie" Marshall Ford, Jr., 84, of Matoaca, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Born in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late Glenn M. Ford, Sr. and Margaret Frances Lockett Ford. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Candace Cousins; and brother, Warren Ford. Glenn was the proud owner and operator of The Video Post of Matoaca. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. Most of all, he loved his family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Gertrude Ford; son, Marshall Ford; grandchildren, Hannah Ford, Trey Cousins, and Riley Ford; and his canine companion, Ava. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Matoaca Christian Fellowship, 7700 River Rd., Petersburg, VA 23803. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woods United Methodist Church Cemetery, 7200 Hickory Rd., Petersburg, VA 23803. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be donated to Woods UMC Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
