    David Lee Warren, Sr.

    September 3, 1941 - April 28, 2022

    David Lee Warren, Sr., 80, went home to be with his Savior on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Warren; mother, Velma Dailey Sacra; stepfather, James E. Sacra; father, Hubert Warren; brothers, H. Dailey Warren, James E. "Skipper" Sacra, Jr.; and grandson, A.J. Sculthorpe. He was a devoted member of Claremont Baptist Church and a retired employee of Honeywell. David was best defined as a faithful servant to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for his enduring love for his family. His LOVE was absolute, condition free, and complete. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, crabbing, hunting, gardening, and beekeeping. He was an excellent cook, who took great pride in preparing meals with his harvest for family and friends. David was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many in both the Hopewell and Claremont communities. He is survived by his children, David L. Warren, Jr. and Terri, Melinda L. Scott and Wayne, Kelly Y. Sculthorpe and Bryan Ohmer, and Jerry F. Warren and Mary Ginny; grandchildren, Jonathan Cox, April King, Jessica Scott, Emily King, Christian Wagner, Austin Warren, Jenifer Sculthorpe, Abby, Ella, and Cash Warren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol W. Perreault, Sandra S. Hughes; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and loving friends. Services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am and the funeral service following at 11:00 am at J.T. Morriss & Son - Hopewell Chapel. Interment at Bermuda Memorial Park will follow. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
