    Charlotte Virginia Garrett

    December 18, 1935 - March 4, 2021

Charlotte Virginia Garrett, 85, of Prince George County, VA passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Born in North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Charles James and Ruby Marie Williams; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Howell Garrett; and a brother, Jack Williams. She was a life-long member of Sycamore United Methodist Church in Prince George, VA and loved her Lord with all her heart and soul. Cha-Cha was a retired wrecker driver for Garrett’s Wrecker Service and paved the way for women to know that they can do anything. Cha-Cha had many loves in life, but none compared to the love she had for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Garrett is survived by her four children, Rev. Terri Swindell and husband, Mike, Wes Garrett, Jr. and wife, Tama, Deena Scamman and husband, Steve (both RET. Marine Corps) and J.D. Garrett and Kristen; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; her sister and best friend, Gwyn Williams; two brothers, Bubba Williams and Frank Williams and wife, Terri; numerous nieces and nephews; her loving Pitbull, Chyna and two cats. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Unity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Duncan and the Rev. Chris Jenkins, officiating. Interment will be private. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sycamore United Methodist Church, 9710 Old Stage Rd. Prince George, VA 23875 in memory of Charlotte Garrett. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com
