Barbara Jean Nelson Evanko, 93, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Harry Edward and Georgia King Nelson; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, William D. Evanko; two children, Andrea Lynn Evanko and William David Evanko; and a grandson, Jonathan Evanko. Mrs. Evanko is survived by her two children, Sandra E. Cantor (Dr. David K. Cantor) and Michael S. Evanko (Kathy); five grandchildren, Matt Cantor, Haran Cantor (Debbie), Eran Cantor (Maria), Christopher Evanko and Heather Fisk (Mike); eight great-grandchildren, J.J., Zach, Jonathan, Jonah, Ethan, Saya, Andre and Makai; one great-great-granddaughter, Lucy; two sisters, Lois Nicely and Ann Hancock; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
