Alice W Lassiter

Alice W. “Jean” Lassiter, 80, of Hopewell passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Pearl Talbert and her step-father, Byrd “Butch” S. Talbert, and her sisters, Lorraine Saunders (Melvin) and Mildred King (George). Alice was very active in church work as a Deaconess and long-time member of the Hopewell Church of the Brethren. She is survived by her husband, James W. Lassiter, her son, David Lassiter (Sara), several nieces, nephews and cousins, and one special 109 year old aunt, Lizzie Wyant. A visitation will be held at the Hopewell Church of the Brethren, 4415 Monroe Avenue, in Hopewell on ¬Thursday, February 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George.
